(1) There will be a vacancy committee of the following positions to select and recommend for appointment through open and internal competition for various vacant posts in the Nepali Army:-
(a) Chairman of the Public Service Commission or such member of the Commission as may be appointed by the Commission – Chairman
(b) The Secretary of the Ministry or a Gazetted First Class Officer designated by him – Member
(c) Worker – Member
(d) One expert in the relevant subject designated by the Commander-in-Chief - member (e) Director – Member – Secretary
of Directorate of Admission Selection (2) The recruitment committee will select suitable candidates based on the prescribed procedure and recommend them to the appointing authority for appointment. During the selection process, the committee as per sub-rule (1) may select a suitable candidate at a lower rank than the authorized cadet and delegate authority to a separate committee consisting of a maximum of five members, including representatives of the Public Service Commission and the Ministry, to recommend to the appointing authority for appointment.
